What to Expect from our 200 Yoga Teacher Training Program

Asana Practice


Historical context

  • Asanas

  • Complete sequencing (asana, pranayama, meditation) to achieve a particular effect safely

  • Effects of pranayama on subtle body

  • Sequencing of pranayama safely, including awareness and adaptations

  • Ujjayi, Nadi Shodhana, Kapalbhati, and others

  • Koskas, Kleshas, Chakras, Nadis and Prana Vayus

  • Key meditation terms

  • Meditation methods of lineage

  • Ability to practice chosen meditation

  • Chanting, mantras, and mudras


Professional Essentials


Teaching Methodology

  • Sequencing and cueing (verbal, visual, physical)

  • Class management

  • Pace

  • Observation, assisting and correcting of postures

  • Specific needs of individuals

Professional Development

  • Yoga Alliance Code of Conduct

  • Scope of practice

Yoga Humanities


  • Term "yoga"

  • Dates and key ideas (Vedas, Vedanta, Hatha, Colonial, Modern)
